Sustainability
I do my best to make sure my products and packaging have minimal impact on the Earth. Minimal impact, for me, means something is either...
- Recycled
- Recyclable
- Reusable
- Sustainably sourced
- Biodegradable
- A mix of or all of the above
I understand that not every place has the same recycling infrastructure, so I do my best to keep the recycling/reuse process simple to help more folks be eco-friendly without it being a chore. This is why a majority (and in the future, all) of my packaging and waste from merch is curbside recyclable and/or easily reusable.
Here's a breakdown of your order's packaging:
Zero Waste Shipping Labels made by EcoEnclose. They are recycled and curbside recyclable. You only need to take the label off the package to recycle it if it's on a poly mailer.
Paper Padded Mailers made by EcoEnclose. They are made from post-consumer recycled paper and are curbside recycable.
Rigid Mailers made by ClearBags or EcoEnclose. They are recycled, curbside recyclable, and reusable.
Poly Mailers made by EcoEnclose. They are recycled, recyclable, and reusable. These mailers come with an additional self-seal, so if they're opened using the tear strip, they can be filled up, sealed closed, and shipped again. To recycle these, they have to be taken to grocery/department stores that recycle plastic grocery/shopping bags. You can also use them to recycle plastic film through EcoEnclose’s take-back program.
Pin Backing Cards printed by GotPrint. They are made of recycled paper and use low-impact inks. These cards are curbside recyclable.
Kraft Bags made by Nashville Wraps. They are made of recycled paper and are curbside recycable.
Washi Tape. The tape is curbside recyclable on it's own or still on other packaging.
Reused Packaging. Sometimes I reuse packaging from stuff I've gotten in the mail. I do my best to only reuse easily recyclable materials, but sometimes reuse unrecyclable plastic to prevent it from being single-use. Please add to the chain and reuse this plastic as well, if possible.
Here's a breakdown of your order's merch:
Stickers & Sticker Sheets printed by ZapCreatives. I use their Eco-Paper option as it is responsibly-sourced and 100% recyclable (including the backing paper!). Note: My Queer Sky and Rest stickers were made by StickerNinja using vinyl. I do not plan to restock those designs as to make way for newer and more eco-friendly ones.
Enamel Pins made by a pin factory. I do not plan to restock these as to make way for newer, more eco-friendly designs.
